In the given article there were given a theoretical understanding about the history of Arabic borrowings in English and presented further information about the borrowing process and its influence on English. In English vocabulary there are many words which were derived from Arabic like other European language. Although Arabic and English are not from the same family and different from the point of areal typology, Arabic influenced English via other world languages like French, Spanish, etc. It is evident that the main way in which Arabic borrowings entered English is that there was a political reason that existed due to Islamic Caliphate that had significant influence over the countries they ruled and English was in contact with those langu...
