Oregano oil is renowned for its potent antimicrobial properties with a historical record of diverse uses dating back over 3000 years. In this study, we investigated the antimicrobial potential of oregano oil against a panel of bacterial and fungal pathogens, including Staphylococcus coagulase-negative, S. aureus, Enterococcus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Candida albicans, and Aspergillus. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing revealed that oregano oil elicited a zone of inhibition against all tested microorganisms, with varying degrees of sensitivity observed among the strains.
