TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, holotype (dirty, covered with mold) (MZUN: Box Coll. entomol. extra-europea, Fam. Stratiomidei - Gen. Hermethia a Beris): Oplachantha valdiviana Rnd., Valdivia / M. Zool. N° 10957. CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Antissa valdiviana (James 1973: 24); valid species, as Cyanauges validivianus (Woodley 2001: 77). REMARKS: Rondani (1863: 88) described Oplachantha valdiviana from a single female: “ exemplar unicum foemineum [a single female specimen]”, labeled valdivianus by R.A.
