Thanks to advancements in the construction of electric wheelchairs, people with motor limitations brought on by conditions like the amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) are now given the ability to become more independent and mobile. But operating and utilising an electric wheelchair often calls for a high level of ability. Additionally, certain individuals with mobility impairments are mechanically unable to regulate the movements of their hands, making it impossible for them to use a joystick to manually adjust an electric wheelchair (as in people with ALS).
