Man and his place in the Word according to the Biblical Description of Creation in Ge 1-2 The presented analysis of the biblical texts of Ge 1-2 has revealed the concept of man in the mind of God and the place of man in the created world. The analysis of the biblical texts on creation leads to a conclusion that the Bible puts man in a privileged position and at the same time makes him responsible for the world. Man created in the image and likeness of God is to rule the world, which does not only imply the right to use the resources of the Earth to satisfy his needs, but also man’s responsibility for the world’s present and future.
