India E-mail : thirumaran64@gmail.com Manuscript received 29 January 2009, revised 17 August 2009, accepted 21 August 2009 The ultrasonic velocity, density and viscosity have been measured for the ternary mixtures of substituted benzenes such as eblorubenzene, bromobenzene and nitrobenzene with acetophenone in 1-butanol at 303, 308 and 313 K. The experimental data have been used to calculate the acoustical parameters namely adiabatic compressibility (β), free length (Lf), free volume (Vf), Internal pressure (1), aeouslle impedance (Z) and molar volume (Vm)· Some or the above excess parameters have been evaluated and fitted to Redlich-Kister polynomials....
