A field experiment was conducted during the rainy season of 2018 at the Teaching and Research Farm of the Department of Crop Science, University of Nigeria, Nsukka located in the derived savanna agro-ecology of Southeastern Nigeria. The experiment was carried out to evaluate the effect of seven (7) growth media and duration of composting on weed incidence and on the growth and yield of Tomato. The seven (7) media were composted for two different durations which gave a total of fourteen (14) treatments. The duration of composting was 4 and 8 weeks respectively.
