Stegophora ulmea is one of the most important pathogens of elm trees (Ulmus spp.). It causes lesions on the leaves and shoots of trees, adversely affecting their condition and appearance. It can generate the greatest losses in nurseries producing elm trees and areas with a high density of elm trees. In Poland, naturally occurring species are: Mountain elm (U. glabra), Common elm (U. minor) and English elm (U. laevis), which are noted among the hosts of S. ulmea. Thus, there is a real risk of the pathogen spreading in the country, both in nurseries, urban and backyard vegetation, and areas of natural occurrence of elm trees.PL; pl; PDF; kwarantanna@iorpib.poznan.p
