Impact of Traffic Congestion on SMEs productivity in Osogbo, Osun State

Traffic congestion contributes to business activities and SMEs productivity level. Increase in traffic congestion may predict blossom economy. Up surge in vehicle population hinged on economy growth of a nation and real income which jeopardize free flow of traffic. It is economically worthwhile, and of policy importance to recognize the deleterious effect of traffic congestion on SMEs productivity. This study examined the impact of traffic congestion on SMEs productivity in Osogbo, Osun state. The study adopted survey strategy on five major road links in Osogbo. Primary data was employed for the study. Percentage frequency and Chi-square test were used. Furthermore, 133 questionnaires was administered on respondents, while 114 questionnaires were returned. The returned questionnaire was used for the purpose of analysis in the study. The results from the analysis indicated that traffic congestion had significant effect on SMEs productivity
