PENDIDIKAN, UMUR DAN PARITAS TERHADAP PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF DI BKIA PUSKESMAS SIDOTOPO WETAN SURABAYA

At present there are still many mothers who provide breast milk in addition to formula milk in infants aged 0-6 months. This is based on formula milk producers who are aggressively promoting their products through various media. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of education, age and parity with exclusive breastfeeding at Sidotopo Wetan Health Center, BKIA Surabaya. The research design used was correlational with four variables, namely education, age, parity and exclusive breastfeeding. The population is nursing mothers who have babies aged 0 - 6 months who visit the Sidotopo Wetan Health Center Surabaya with a sample of 36 respondents. Respondents were selected using non probability sampling techniques, namely consecutive sampling and data collection tools used were questionnaire sheets. Data analysis using multivariate multiple regression test and chi square. Based on the results obtained, the multiple correlation test obtained R2 = 0.759, which means it has a strong relationship (0.60 - 0.799) between education, age and parity on exclusive breastfeeding. The results showed that the level of education had the strongest influence on the provision of exclusive breastfeeding of 0,000, age of 0,001 and parity of 0,002. The higher the level of education, the better someone will take a decision
