The purpose of this study is to identify antecedents apart of personality traits that would influence job involvement in an organization. Considering the paucity of research on antecedents related to work environment characteristics particularly integrated factors that would affect employee job involvement. This study determines a set of work related characteristics that would predict job involvement. This paper follows the literature survey method and examines the effects of work environment characteristics on job involvement.
