English as a lingua franca in the era of globalization has placed the language in an unparallel status of a world language in different Asian countries. It has inflicted the dying situation of indigenous languages since the advent of British colonization in different parts of Asia, including Bangladesh. English Language was imposed on indigenous nations to strengthen and expand their colonizational power.
