This article examines and defines the concept of learning. The dimensions of the learning process are presented: the cognitive, emotional and social dimension and the contemporary models of learning are examined: associationist, constructivist, as information processing. It was found that the examined learning models explain the learning process from the perspective of cognitive and partially social dimensions, and the affective dimension is not addressed. So learning is approached as a specific process, only on the cognitive dimension, so it is necessary to make some changes in the educational paradigm of the learning process
