Contemporary Methods of Arranging Background Music for Classical and Folk Dance Lessons in the Activity of a Choreography Accompanist

The purpose of the article is to analyze the peculiarities of contemporary methods of arranging background music for classical and folk dance lessons by the accompanist. The research methodology consisted in the organic set of basic principles of research: objectivity, historicism, multifactorness, systematicity, complexity, development and pluralism; to fulfill the research purpose, the following methods of scientific knowledge were used: problem-chronological, concrete-historical, statistical, descriptive, and logical-analytical. The scientific novelty of the work lies in substantiating the method of combining performance of musical works with elements of improvisation during the arrangement of background music for classical and folk dance lessons for choreography students of higher educational institutions of arts. Conclusions. As a result of the integrated research and analysis of contemporary methods of arranging background music for classical and folk dance lessons by choreography accompanists, the expediency of using the method of combining performance of musical works with elements of improvisation was substantiated; this method provides for creating stylizations, texture design of a given topic based on the works by famous composers, combining personal and author's variants, improvising musical intros and outros, taking into account the nature and genre of a particular piece of music
