The article explores the paths of apprenticeship of Pavel Antokolsky in the early period of his work experiencing various influences. An attempt is made to revise the established ideas about his legacy. In the poems by Pavel Antokolsky (1915 –1916) it is possible to trace the influence of the poetry by Cherubina de Gabriak – the mystification of Elizaveta Dmitrieva, performed under the leadership of Maximilian Voloshin. These two poems of these two poets correlate at the thematic and figurative level, which proves the search of his poetic path by Pavel Antakolsky. In his poems he exploited the images of infanta, knights, Cinderella, beloved women, battles, reminiscent to the works by Elizaveta Dmitrieva’s creative mask – Cherubina de Gabria...
