Benefits of Water Quality Monitoring

One of the most significant factors affecting human life is water quality. Water quality tests must typically be performed on-site. There will be a need for multiple test locations if the area to be explored is large. Repeated water quality assessments will be difficult and time-consuming. So, in order to safeguard the water and keep track of its condition in order to prevent contamination, a real-time monitoring system is necessary. The water quality is monitored and shown using environmental sensors, LoRa technology, and the Node-RED application. According to the area in need of analysis, it involves the measurement and gathering of data on variables impacting water quality, such as temperature, electric conductivity, pH, air quality, and turbidity. The sensor data is processed by the microcontroller used in the research before being sent over the wireless network to the database, where it is shown on the Node-RED dashboard.
