The artistic crafts practiced in the Romanian space maintain the experience and knowledge gathered over time, being found in contemporary culture due to the original pieces made with virtuosity by artisans. The purpose of the article is to reflect the importance of ethnographic expeditions and to register the authentic pieces. We set out to examine textiles, clothing items that are part of traditional and bridal costumes, which were identified based on ethnographic expeditions and became a valuable source of study for today’s researchers, as well as an important source of inspiration for folk artisans.
