முத்தாலம்மன் தெய்வ வழிபாடும் தொன்மக் கதைகளும் / Myth and Worship of the Deity Muthalamman

Mythological stories of deities are told based on belief in folklore. A female deity called Muthalaman is famous in the Thirumangalam circle. This deity is mostly worshipped in all towns. The folk deities worshipped in small villages were people who lived with the people earlier. They have performed many rare deeds for the people and risen to the status of deities, and have risen to the heights by doing lowly deeds. Among them are murder, suicide, and natural death, after some time man has started worshipping them due to fear. They later evolved into folk deities. Based on the historical myths of that deity, the primary purpose of this article is to go to every town and collect the story of the deity and document and investigate the fate of a woman named Muthalamman
