Ion association of α-alanine bis-biguanidecobalt(III) iodide in methanol + water mixtures at different temperatures

The limiting equivalent conductance (\(\Lambda_O\)) and the ion association constant (KA) for the complex salt in these mixtures have been evaluated using Shedlovsky equation. The KAS obtained have minimum values at temperature tmm. The results have been discussed in terms of ion-ion, ion-solvent and solvent-solvent interactions. Thermodynamic pa­rameters have been evaluated to understand the change of the association constants with solvent composition
