Generation and Processing of Municipal Solid Waste in India: A Statistical Analysis of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan

Abstract The paper is related to the statistical Analysis of Municipal Solid Waste Generation and Processing in the context ofSwachh Bharat Abhiyaan.Everything surrounding us that affects our ability to live and work is known as our environment. It also moderates our way of thinking and understanding. The issue of environmental degradation is the result of unchecked human demand. From industrialization to date, the acceleration of this process has been alarming and eye-opening.Pollution, biodiversity loss, animal extinction, deforestation and desertification, global warming, and many other challenges are all part of the very serious situation known as environmental degradation. The term "environmental degradation" refers to the deterioration of the environment caused by the depletion of resources. This term encompasses all biotic and abiotic elements.This paper examines the statistical profile of solid waste generation and solid waste processing in India. In this paper, state- and union territory-wise data is sourced from the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan Report, which is described and analyzed in the form of tables and maps. Solid waste generation data and solid waste processing data are analyzed in this paper, and each set of data is classified into five categories.N
