Thermal influence on cast iron corrosion in aqueous salt solutions and composite water

The corrosion rate of cast iron increases and the open-circuit potential shifts towards less noble direction with increase of temperature. Cast iron corrosion is higher in aqueous solution of NaCI and KCI salt than other salts. The cathodic and anodic polarization curves exhibit that the reaction is controlled cathodically
