THE STATE OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS' MOTIVATION FOR THE PROFESSIONAL WORK IN THE NEW UKRAINIAN SCHOOL

The purpose of the article is to diagnose the level of the development of the future teachers’ motivation for the professional work in the New Ukrainian School (NUS), to compare it with the level of the primary school teachers’ motivation development, to outline the effective ways of increasing the motivation of the applicants of higher education on the 013 Primary Education specialty. Methodology. To achieve the goal, the authors used a semi-structured narrative study based on the narrative framework with the inclusion of the metaphorical positions. The results of the study were qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed using the ranking methods, the methods of the quantitative and attributive grouping of the results, the method of summary marks, etc. Scientific novelty. The actuality of the study is based on the peculiarities of the practical implementation of the «New Ukrainian School» reform in the education system of Ukraine, which are, in particular, the non-conformity between the plan of the reform and its real consequences. The authors believe that the most important thing in overcoming this gap is the training of a motivated teacher who has a deep awareness of the main innovations of the NUS and strives for the professional work under the conditions of its reform. To conduct a practical study, the authors identified three main teacher’s motivation indicators: innovative, showing the attitude to the educational innovations; valuable, illustrating the awareness of the values of the NUS; intentional, showing the desire and personal intentions to qualitatively organize the educational process in the NUS in the future professional work. Conclusions. As a result of the research, it was found that the future primary school teachers had the most developed innovative indicator, the intentional indicator was at a sufficient level, and the valuable indicator is the least developed. The general level of the future primary school teachers’ motivation development for the professional work under the conditions of the NUS is defined at a sufficient level. The results of the study allowed the authors to identify the effective ways of increasing the future primary school teachers’ motivation for work under the conditions of the NUS: systematic mastering of the information about the NUS philosophy and key positions of its formula in the process of the professional training; analyzing and updating of the syllabi and work curricula in the disciplines of the professional cycle, providing them with modern visual and audio content; using the innovative technologies of training future teachers, etc
