A Role of Social Innovation in Linking Ecological Sustainability with Rural Development Objectives in Marginalised Mountain Areas

The paper describes the role of social innovation in linking ecological sustainability with the objectives of rural development in marginalised rural areas. It provides insight to the understanding of human-environment interactions in socio-ecological systems, perceptions of stakeholders of pathways to change, and different trajectories of development of socio-ecological systems.
