Because of the distinctive and fascinating properties of metal nanoparticles, their synthesis and applications in variety of fields have augmented a great devotion. In this research, facile approaches have been adopted for the synthesis of nanoparticles to be used as photocatalyst to decompose organic hazardous pollutants. Nanoparticles of Ag and ZnO are synthesized by wet chemical reduction of salt and direct precipitation method respectively. Synthesis of the nanoparticles has been characterized by UV-Visible and FTIR spectroscopy.
