In this presentation, the shape of two-bladed bladed hubs (focus on the blade connection) is compared to the shape of three-bladed ones, to answer the question if oval-shaped blade connections could be beneficial for two-bladed turbines or not. Therefore an initial study was done, with the use of the method of stress equality between two-bladed and three-bladed cross-sections. Finally, different shaped blade connections of two-bladed and three-bladed turbines for different loads could be compared and the material reduction potentials of oval-shaped blade connection of two-bladed turbines could be calculated
