Variable Design of Television Dramatic Structure: Final Scene Transformations

The purpose of the article is to analyze the condition of variable design of the modern television dramatic structure through the example of the third final scene of the script structure and to define vectors of its further development in the context of screen art. The research methodology was based on the structural and functional approach, which allowed for identifying the main structural elements of television drama, using the methods of structuring and art critical research. The scientific novelty of the work. Modern national television dramaturgy, in the context of the theory of scripting a piece of screen artwork, is in the state of permanent transformation nowadays. Taking into account the lack of theoretical research in the field of television dramaturgy by Ukrainian academicians, the scientific novelty consists in an attempt to provide this theoretical study in the context of the presented article. Conclusions. This study proved that, taking into account the rapid development of screen arts, which is currently observed, the emergence of new television genres leads to new forms of narrative – variable ones. The essence of variability on television is in attracting the viewer to the creative process and their engagement into the dramatic component of the television production. The variability of the final scene structure on television is strongly pronounced in the genres of television shows, such as talk shows, talent shows and reality television shows. Final scene transformations in the television dramatic structure are an important process of development of modern television art, and its study requires independent research by theorists of screen drama, which will help to discover new prospects in this process
