Among the top five plant pathogens known for adversely affecting plant productivity, root-knot nematodes hold a prominent position as destructive parasites of vegetable plants. As part of a phytopathological survey initiative conducted in the Ganja-Gazakh economic region, samples displaying typical symptoms of nematode infestation were collected from potato plants. Microscopic examination revealed a high prevalence of Meloidogyne spp., a genus of nematodes, in the Tovuz region (76.8%), whereas a lower prevalence was observed in the Aghstafa region (22.2%).
