Here I present two different technologies that we have been developing at University of Chile and that may find applications at ALMA: (i) We are working on the development of compact ultra-wide bandwidth receivers for the millimeter band. These receivers are composed of home-made blocks built around MMICs fabricated in a commercial foundry after our own designs. (ii) We are developing digital tools for correcting the performance of analogue receivers. In this poster I present our work on sideband rejection-ratio and polarization correction
