In the book we have selected and described the most important minerals from the point of view of spreading and participation in the composition of the terrestrial crust and in terms of economic and scientific significance. The book was adopted the latest concepts on mineral systematic model proposed by IMA (International Mineralogical Association). The description of each mineral is made systematically; thus after showing the origin of mineral names, are presented chemical composition, crystallization system and the symmetry class, crystal structure, macroscopic physical properties, then are described the genesis, paragenesis and occurrences for each mineral, the description ending with uses of minerals
