Common carp fingerlings have no stomach and have short intestine (Steffens, 1989). It is known that 2~5 g size fingerlings showed 10~12% of daily feeding rate (Miyatake, 1997). Therefore, frequent feeding is required to achieve maximum growth and feed intake for the fingerlings. Food consumption and grow rates increase rapidly when favorable condition is restored following growth depression by food shortage and this phenomenon is know as compensatory growth (Ali et al., 2003). These experiments were conducted to assess the effects of feeding frequencies on growth and body composition of juvenile common carp. Compensation growth was also assessed after feeding frequency tests
