Studies of tetradentate-N6 macrocyclic complexes of Cull, Coll and Nill

These 1,4,8,11 tetraaza[14]tetraazatetradecatetraene N6 macrocyclic complexes were characterized by magnetic, couductance, electronic and IR spectral studies. The macrocyclic ligand coordinates through the four azomethine nitrogen atoms which are bridged by 2,3-butanedione moieties, but far infrared spectra suggest the pyridine nitrogens are not coordinated. These macrocyclic complexes are considered to have distorted octahedral configurations
