In the article, the authors reveal the essence of the concept of "crowdfunding" and they carry out the justification of necessity of using this innovative tool in domestic conditions. An analysis of experience of Ukrainian start-ups, who used the crowdfunding technologies in their activities, was analyzed. A comparative description of the features of the crowdfunding, financing through "business angels" and venture capital investment is carried out.
