An study area, where an interdisciplinary study on the role of habitat mosaic for distribution, density and functioning of population of many species has been carried out for a long time is the Dezydery Chłapowski Landscape Park, which is broadly known from a "model" farmland structure, characterized by a number of small wooded areas and small water bodies. The aim of the lecture is presentation of specific characters of bird communities living in a such mosaics of crop fields and small wooded patches and the evaluation of effectiveness of protection of avifauna in farmland by keeping amount of afforested areas high and diverse.
