Summary: The article focuses on the role of education on the level of empowerment through the decision making behaviour among Scheduled Caste women of Koch Bihar district in West Bengal, India. The primary data collected from 200 SC female respondents (aged 15-49 yrs old) from the two respective blocks Cooch Behar-I (100 respondents) and Sitai (100 respondents) of Koch Bihar district through a structured questionnaire. Findings: The findings suggest that there was a high positive relationship between the educational attainment and the empowerment status through the decision making behaviour of Scheduled Caste women in the study area.
