The magnetic properties of the rare earth TbAlO3 orthaluminate have been studied in detail in the wavelength range 420-750 nm, the temperature and spectral relationships in the temperature range 90-300 K. The temperature dependence of the Verdet constant measured along the axis of the TbAlO3 crystal [110], the contribution of the Van-Flax “mixing” mechanism electronic states of the Tb3+ - RE-ion in the Faraday rotation (in an external field H) in a given geometry of the experiment
