Efficacy of Meta Cognitive Orientation and Attention Activation Strategies on Developing Writing Competence

The researcher investigated the use of metacognitive strategy and attention activating strategies on developing writing comprehension over a four-week period with 30 fifth grade students. It is a quasi-experimental pre-test - post-test research study. Metacognitive strategies and attention activation strategies were incorporated in classroom teaching on developing writing comprehension.
