United States Experience in Security Sector Management

The article discusses certain aspects of the management of the US security sector in the context of administrative legal regulation. It has been established that in the field of national security all management decisions are made by the President of the United States, whose powers are defined in the Constitution. It is revealed that the President of the United States is the head of state, the commander in chief of the armed forces, the chairman of the executive branch, and the main diplomat who is responsible for the state of US relations with other countries. It turned out that the Assistant to the President on National Security Issues, who acts as the coordinator and main adviser, has a special status in the implementation of the national security policy. It has been reinstated that the main law and regulation act in the US Sector of the United States is the United States Law on National Security, the structure of which clearly recognizes the importance of coordinating the national and international presidency of the United States. Indicated the history of the historical development of the national security of the USA. It was found that in the National Security Strategy 2017 (D. Trump) the main areas of US national interests are indicated as: 1) ensuring US security; 2) ensuring US prosperity; 3) maintaining world peace at the expense of military, cybernetic and space security; 4) the expansion of American influence on the planet; 5) an important area is economic security; 6) among the threats to US national security, highlighting certain countries like the Russian Federation, China, Iran. The author analyzes the powers of the US National Security Council, the US Internal Security Council and the Central Intelligence Agency in the field of national security and discloses their structure. It is emphasized that the development of the US security sector is based on US national values, the US national idea, effective coordination of various departments has been established, the country's defense capability has been created at the highest level, the country’s development and increased US influence in the international arena
