Trachylepis bayonii

Trachylepis bayonii (Bocage, 1872) Material (two specimens): Two adult specimens (MHNCUP/REP 276–277, formerly UP-MHNFCP-018333 and UP-MHNFCP-040727; Fig. S40), collected from unknown locality, date unknown. Comments: Trachylepis bayonii is known from central and southwestern Angola, as well as Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, and Tanzania (Marques et al. 2018). No specimens of T. bayonii were published by Ferreira. Bocage first described this species in 1872 and distinguished between two variations, A and B, from “Duque de Bragança” [=Kalandula], Malanje Province and from Huíla’s highlands, respectively (Bocage 1872; Marques et al. 2018).
