Abstract The current study was applied on 200 buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis) slaughtered in AL-Najaf abattoir in order to evaluate the pathological and immunological changes in those buffaloes during the slaughter process. The macroscopic, microscopic and serological studies were done to achieve those Objectives. To evaluate the immunological status of the buffaloes, the IL-1 and TNF-α, levels in the serum were measured. The gross examination of various lymph nodes(mesenteric ,submandibular, parotid and supramammary lymph node) revealed that 23% of them were have variable lesions. The most common in lymph nodes was color change. The histopathological study revealed that the hyperplastic reaction is the most common change in both lymph nodes ...
