Barcoded, reference TJW_028, BOLD WPATW767-22. Some specimens from Corsica and Sardinia have been assigned with doubt to Nomiapis rufiventris that is known from Sicily and north Africa (see Wood & Le Divelec 2022). The recent acquisition of COI sequences of Sardinian specimens supports the assignment of Sardinian records to N. paulyi (Wood, unpublished data).A Corsican specimen from Cavallo Island is also morphologically similar to N. paulyi.
