CARNIDAE This family was very poorly known from the whole of Italy until quite recently. The checklist (Canzoneri et al. 1995) lists only one species of Meoneura Rondani, 1856. The paper by Stuke & Barták (2019) adds more species and the new record from Sicily brings the total number of the known Italian species of Meoneura to 13. A few more species can be expected from Sicily.
