Status in the Arabian Peninsula. Recorded from Oman in original description by Banister & Clarke (1977); confirmed by Lyon et al. (2016), Pichler et al. (2018), Freyhof et al. (2020), Kirchner et al. (2020), Esmaeili et al. (2022), and Sayyadzadeh et al. (2023). General distribution. Middle East: southern Hajar Mountains (Oman endemic). Habitat: freshwater. Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula.
