Stephanitis (Norba) suthepensis Guilbert & Guidoti 2018, sp. nov.

Stephanitis (Norba) suthepensis sp. nov. (Figs 13, 14) Material examined. 6M, 7F, 26 larvae, NW, Chiangmai. Doi Suthep, 1278m, 29.III-4.V. 1958, T.C. Maa coll., BPBM. Description. Body shiny and hyaline, whitish to clear brown; body beneath darker; darker spots on front of the hood, top of median carina, tumid part on costal area, and a darker transversal band at apex of hemelytra; margins and veins of pronotal structure and hemelytra slightly serrate and pilose. Body length, 3.56; width, 2.43. Head small, armed with five long and slender spines, bucculae short, biseriate, closed in front; antennae long and slender, antennal joints measurements. I, 0.42; II, 0.12; III, 1.34; IV, 0.71; rostral sulcus wide, slightly widened posteriorly, open behind; laminae wide, uniseriate, and serrate; rosturm reaching apex of metasternum. Pronotum a little gibbose, punctate on top, areolate on hind process, unicarinate, median carina high, triseriate, areolae large, the outer row of smaller areolae, margin serrate; collar narrow, biseriate, the areolae tiny; hood greatly enlarged, longer than wide, eight areolae long from apex to connection to median carina, covering head and extending in front of head at the two first antennal joint length, as high as median carina; paranota reflexed, wide, four areolae wide, the outer row of smaller areolae. Hemelytra sharply widened at base, divergent posteriorly; costal area wide, sinuate, six areolae wide at widest part, areolae polygonal and large, a tumid spot in the widest part; subcostal area wide, almost vertical on basal part, then sloping downwards, biseriate anteriorly and posteriorly, uniseriate near middle where costal area the widest; discoidal area less than half the length of hemelytra, three areolae wide at widest part; RM vein separating discoidal and subcostal area strongly raised; sutural area biseriate. Comments. This species is close to S. chinensis Drake, but the sutural area is here biseriate, not triseriate. It is also close to S. buthanensis Péricart but the costal area is not triseriate. Etymology.
