Lectotype (Robyns in Dassanayake & Fosberg, Revised Handb. Fl. Ceylon 1: 67. 1980): Herb. Linn. No. 862.1 (LINN). Current name: Adansonia digitata L. (Bombacaceae). Note: This name is nomenclaturally superfluous as it is based on all the original elements of the earlier A. digitata L.
