TYPE SPECIES: Colax macula Wiedemann, 1824, by subsequent designation (Lucas, 1837: 227). CURRENT STATUS: Preoccupied by Hübner, 1816; senior (but invalid) synonym of Atriadops Wandolleck, 1897 [teste Sabrosky (1999: 95)]. FAMILY: NEMESTRINIDAE. REMARKS: Bowden (1980: 376) listed the type species as Colax macula Wiedemann, 1824 by subsequent designation of Blanchard (1840: 608), but this was later.
