This new species is similar to E. hendrixella Robinson, 2008, but can be distinguished from the latter by the almost semicircular valva with broad and truncate apex; in E. hendrixella, the valva is bottle-shaped, with narrowly rounded apex. Description. Adult (Fig. 46). Wingspan 12.5−17.0 mm. Head orange yellow. Antenna 0.9× length of forewing; scape dusty yellow, mixed with darker scales anteriorly, with a few black pecten bristles; flagellum variegated, dusty yellow on ventral surface, dark purplish brown on dorsal surface except first few segments dusty yellow. Labial palpus dusty yellow, mixed with darker scales on inner surface, blackish brown on outer surface. Thorax and tegula grayish brown. Forewing index 0.26−0.32, dark grayish brown, individual scales dark tipped; retinaculum present; cilia grayish black. Hindwing grayish brown, with a single short, slender evenly curved frenular bristle; cilia grayish brown. Fore and mid legs blackish brown; hind leg yellowish brown, mixed with blackish brown on outer surface. Pregenital abdomen. In male, first tergum without sclerotization; coremata present in eighth segment; eighth sternite 0.25× as long as wide, without caudal process; eighth tergite trapezoidal, without caudal process. Male genitalia (Fig. 75). Vinculum concave at middle on anterior margin, slightly concave on posterior margin; medial process on ventrocaudal margin about half length of vinculum. Tegumen narrow bar-shaped. Uncus with lobate base separated by membrane; uncus lobe 0.5× depth of vinculum, orange lamella-shaped, not twisted, slightly bent ventrad, setose dorsally; sclerite present between uncus lobes, X-shaped. Valva almost semicircular, with broad and truncate apex; costal margin straight, unmodified; basal flange large, roundly expanded in basal 1 / 3, slightly narrowed and setose at middle, horned, strongly sclerotized and melanized in distal 1 / 3; bridging lobe absent between basal flange and valva; ventral margin with minute serration, slightly convex in basal 2 / 3, forming inconspicuous ventral lobe; basal margin with small, triangular ‘secondary apodeme’ close to apodeme; inner surface unmodified. Juxta reflexed anteriorly along inner surface of vinculum, 0.5× length of aedeagus, grooved in dorsal midline, usually folded laterally, bifurcate at its fusion with base of medial process of vinculum when spreaded. Aedeagus almost as long as valva, slender, tubular, double-walled, slightly bent ventrad, with shallow dorsal emargination. Bulbus ejaculatorius 3.0× length of aedeagus, basal 1 / 3 narrow, subdistal section expanded and curved, distal section expanded. Female unknown. Distribution. China (Chongqing, Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hubei). Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin semicircularis, meaning semicircular, referring to the semicircular valva. Remarks.
