Africa, Rhamnaceae: 29. 1972; Wadhwa in Dassanayake & Clayton, Revised Handb. Fl. Ceylon 10: 369. Herb. Hermann 3: 14, No. 89 (BM-000594656). Current name: Ziziphus mauritiana Lam. (Rhamnaceae). Note: Johnston (1972) indicated Herb. Hermann material (BM) as type. Although there is material in more than one volume, it appears to have been part of a single gathering.
