One of the numerous specificities of the inscribed vessels from Kafizin lies in the representation of human faces on some 15 vases. By studying their iconography and their link with the text of the inscriptions, we are led to suggest that they bear witness to ritual shaving. Several hypotheses are presented to understand the cult of the Nymph at different scales, locally within the framework of the company involved in the exploitation and trade of the flax, and within the broader context of the Ptolemaic rule over Cyprus.Lejeune Sidonie.
