A Boom of the Experiment. Lyricisation in the Sixties. The sixties are a decade of heightened literary innovation in Dutch literature. Writers employ defictionalization and denarrativization to deviate from more traditional and conventional prose. One of the strategies of denarrativization is the introduction of lyrical procedures. In the essay, the lyrical dimension of innovative fiction published in the sixties is contextualized and differentiated. In the case studies, three types of “ lyricality”, their impact, and their functions are identified in the work of a series of innovative authors.L’essor des expériences.
