In the course of the academic year 1998-1999 a team of LGPA searchers wee confronted, over several weeks, with the sonorous reality of one of the most noisy districts in Bordeaux : Victoire-Capucins. This district is both a traffic knot, a festive place for students, and a busy shopping centre. The study conducted on on the spot was commissioned to draw up a precise mapping of the « noise » phenomenon, the criteria used being the legal threshold at the time.
